The next change in the weather is expected on Tuesday. This is due to the increasing influence of a low-pressure system and an Atlantic front. Thick clouds will move in, bringing heavy showers. In the mountains, snow will gradually fall down to elevations of around 2,500 meters above sea level. Subsequently, snow will fall even lower. By midweek (Wednesday), the weather and temperatures are expected to reach a significant low point. It will rain frequently and, at times, for extended periods. Snow will fall down to elevations below 2,000 meters above sea level. With cooler temperatures, the weather will gradually settle down and improve on Thursday. It is not yet clear whether conditions will become friendlier and warmer again by the weekend. Some weather models are still diverging and significantly slowing the rise in temperatures.
