weather forecast
Low pressure over the Atlantic will cause repeated foehn from the south to southwest in the Alpine region well beyond the turn of the month, and this is unlikely to change much in the first third of November. A brief interruption is only expected from Sunday to Monday, when a cold front will temporarily cross the region. Before that, there will be foehn and a sustained flow of warm air from the western Mediterranean. This will be marked on Saturday by extensive, high veil clouds, which will occasionally dampen the sunshine. On Sunday, it will become cloudy, and there will be brief heavy rainfall in the afternoon. It will cool down, and the snow line will drop below 2000 meters above sea level during the night leading into Monday. However, the air pressure will begin to rise again on Monday, ushering in another period of fine weather. Temperatures will also rise noticeably until the middle of next week.
