A small-scale low-pressure system over northern Italy is lingering nearby, meaning that, following Thursday’s brief improvement, thicker clouds and a little rain may return on Friday. However, just in time for the weekend, the air pressure will rise more sharply again and the sun will return to the sky. On both Saturday and Sunday, only harmless, high cloud patches will intermittently mingle with the sunshine, occasionally dimming it but rarely casting a shadow over the sun. Temperatures will rise noticeably once more. During the night leading into Monday, a weak cold front will brush past the edge of our region. Slightly cooler air will seep in, but the remnants of this weak disturbance should soon give way to sunshine again. In the days that follow, we will once again be clearly under the influence of high pressure. After autumnal, cool nights, it will be pleasantly warm during the day with sunshine.
