As a cold front passes through, the weather conditions and temperatures will temporarily become more typical of the season. For the time being, however, there will be a temporary improvement on Friday. Residual cloud cover at night – mostly low-lying and resembling high fog – will thin out, making way for plenty of sunshine during the day. With the sunshine, the air will once again warm up noticeably. On Saturday, a weak weather system will move in over the mountains, accompanied by a brisk westerly wind. With thicker cloud cover that breaks up only slightly, light to moderate precipitation is expected repeatedly throughout the day. The snow line will be well above 2,000 metres. From Sunday, a new high-pressure system will take hold, which will determine our weather conditions until the middle of next week. With predominantly sunny conditions, we can certainly speak of ‘golden October’ weather.
