weather forecast
High-pressure systems and an upper-level low will shape the weather this weekend and beyond. The high-pressure system, in particular, will linger a bit longer before late winter makes a strong comeback after midweek. For now, however, we’re dealing with chilly spring weather. There will be significantly more sunshine on Sunday, and conditions should remain mostly dry. More numerous and larger clouds will be in the mix on Monday, and there may be isolated showers again in the late afternoon. Tuesday promises a temporary rise in temperatures. This brief warming will be accompanied by some thin, high cirrus clouds. Wednesday will start off very sunny, and around noon it will become pleasantly mild once again. Throughout the afternoon, a strong cold front will sweep in with a picking up northwest wind, causing the snow line to drop rapidly below 1000 meters above sea level. The landscape will be freshly snow-covered on Thursday, and more snow showers will join in as the day progresses. Temperatures will remain in the freezing range even during the day.
