weather forecast
The Alpine region is under the influence of a high-pressure system that is intensifying over Central Europe. However, the differences in air pressure remain minor, and the air thus continues to be unstably layered. As a result, through Wednesday, after a very sunny start to each day, large cumulus clouds will repeatedly form during the afternoon, which will increase the risk of local showers and thunderstorms from the late afternoon onward. The highest likelihood of showers and thunderstorms continues to be along the northern edge of the Alps. Toward the main Alpine ridge, this risk remains significantly lower until sunset. From Thursday to Saturday, the air will become drier and the influence of high pressure will strengthen. As a result, despite lingering instability, only a few, and not particularly large, cumulus clouds will form. In addition, it will become increasingly warm with early summer conditions.
